Tavershima started this family practice with his wife, Shemicka, and he has made it a priority to treat every patient with the same compassion and quality care that he would provide if they were his own family. Tavershima was born in Nigeria and immigrated to the US to pursue his dream of higher education in the medical field. Tavershima received a Bachelor of Science at Cedar Crest College. He subsequently achieved a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner studies at DeSales University. There, he received the DeSales University 5 Year Preceptor Award. His publications include The Image of Men in Nursing for the ADVANCE for Nurses magazine. Tavershima entered the medical field after making a promise to his mother that he would take care of her in her old age. He kept his promise and had the privilege and honor to care for her as her Primary Care Provider until the time of her death in 2014. Tavershima loves to watch sports and coach his kids in soccer and basketball. He also enjoys cooking for his family.
